The Coolock Tile Store at Malahide Road Industrial Park is being offered for sale by tender on 24th October 2007 (unless previously sold).
The recently refurbished building is situated in a prominent corner position at the intersection of Greencastle Parade and Newtown Avenue. The site extends to approximately 0.33 ha / 0.82 acres. The existing accommodation comprises a two storey block with showrooms at ground floor level and offices at first floor level together with modern warehousing accommodation to the rear.
The property is located in an area currently Zoned Objective Z7 in the Dublin City Development Plan 2005 – 2011 “To provide for the protection and creation of industrial uses and facilitate opportunities for employment creation”.
However, discussions will shortly commence between a town planning consultant appointed by the park occupiers and Dublin City Council regarding a proposal to apply for a variation to the Development Plan with a view to future regeneration.
